Diasec is an established and patented process to face-mount photographs onto an acrylic sheet invented by Heinz Sovilla-Brulhart in 1969. A traditional photographic print (matt digital C type print) is bonded directly to clear cast perspex, the properties of which allow for a clearer and sharper image compared to normal glass. The Diasec bonding liquid contains a UV filter and is resistant to fungicidal, bacterial agents and airborne pollutants increasing the longevity of the print. The photograph is then backed with an aluminium sheet to reinforce the panel and allow for a custom made aluminium subframe to be attached which can then be hung directly on the wall. It will appear to float off the wall as the support is hidden from the edges.

Diasecs come with a signed certificate of authenticity.

These are digital C type prints on Fuji Crystal Archive paper firstly mounted flat on aluminium to prevent the photographs becoming 'wavy'. Then, with a conservation double mount, they are framed using high quality TruVue Conservation Clear glass to reduce reflections and increase clarity. They are framed by a Fine Art Trade Guild framers in a matt black metal frame.

Other frames and combinations of mounting are available. The price will vary depending on the level of framing requested.

Photographic print mounted on aluminium

Traditional photographic prints (digital C type prints printed on matt Fuji Crystal Archive paper) are mounted onto a 1.5mm sheet of aluminium. Often considered the best method to mount a traditional photographic print since the aluminium has a perfectly smooth and flat surface. All prints are coated with a UV seal to avoid harmful UV light damaging the colour of the print. A custom made aluminium subframe is attached to the back to hang directly onto the wall, which will give the appearance of the print floating off the wall.

Prints mounted on aluminium come with a signed certificate of authenticity.

This is a contemporary medium that allows the image to be printed directly onto 8mm thick acrylic. Two types are available: transparent and opaque. Four metal wall mountings hold the acrylic off the wall allowing ambient light to interact and produce vivid images. Alternatively, hidden fixings are available for the opaque version of the acrylic. The transparent acrylic is better suited to well-illuminated white walls whereas the opaque acrylic is better suited to darker or textured walls.

Acrylics come with a signed certificate of authenticity.
