qrt

Headquartered in London, QRT has several offices worldwide. They had recently moved into new London offices and were looking for art in their main boardroom. Since I owned portfolios of four office locations, I suggested this as a theme for the space: London, Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore. There was only one challenge to overcome - the only available space for artwork was on glass panels and there was no possibility to install a hanging rail. Artwork would need to be fixed to the glass using Velcro. This posed a problem since most artwork is generally too heavy. However, discussing the issue with a specialist printer, they were able to produce an extremely lightweight photographic print, dry-mounted onto a lightweight material (to keep the photo flat), which could then be framed in a keyline frame. The weight of the final pieces even surprised me! All the images were selected by the client to complement the colours in their branding. The Hong Kong and Singapore images were also selected in part because they include the buildings in which their offices feature.
