GLASGOW: George Square

GLASGOW: George Square

from £298.00

George Square is named after King George III and is the main civic square in Glasgow. The City Chambers is the most prominent building facing the square with its foundation stone laid in 1883. The column at the centre features a statue of the author, Sir Walter Scott.

Photographed in October 2016 one early morning to ensure the square was devoid of people. The square was slightly more busy during COP-26 in 2021.
