LONDON: Centuries Apart

LONDON: Centuries Apart

£178.00

Centuries Apart is a photograph with the Tower of London and the recently completed 30 St Mary Axe in 2004 (also informally known as the Gherkin). Built many centuries apart. Designed by Foster + Partners and opened in 2004. The Tower’s architects unknown, but likely to be credited to former Kings and Queens of England.

My first commission in 2004 from a friend who asked me to photograph the recently built Gherkin building. Completed months earlier, I found this viewpoint from Tower Bridge Road. The view no longer exists due to the expansion of skyscrapers in the City of London. Available in the size 35 x 50 cm only.
