The Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo is a suspension bridge crossing northern Tokyo Bay. I travelled to Japan in 2018 specifically to photograph Tokyo and possibly Kyoto. However, when I arrived and my luggage (with tripod) didn’t make a connection flight, I decided I was best focussing on Tokyo. It is a vast city and fascinating. Long exposure photography is always best by water in cities and so I searched for a view of Tokyo with a large expanse of water. This view of the Rainbow Bridge captures the metropolis seen under the bridge and Tokyo Tower, one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks.
